Positano Hotel Recommendation

Does anyone have a hotel recommendation for Positano? We would love a nice view and charming place but maybe not the most expensive.

We enjoyed Hotel California Positano (also called Albergo California Positano). We stayed for a couple nights in May 2005 and found the place lovely and extremely reasonable for expensive Positano.

The Villa Rosa also gets rave reviews here on Fodors.

I suggest you look at the reviews on www.tripadvisor.com for both of these hotels

We had a very nice stay at the Hotel Villa Franca (top of the hill). It was a mid-priced hotel back in 2002 compared to some of the other hotels we had priced at the time. We had a room with full panorama view which had a large terrace. It was heaven.

We stayed at Villa Rosa in May and loved it! Nothing like having your breakfast of warm croissants and tea served on your terrace over looking the ocean. Ask for a room on the higher floors for the best views. The pictures on their website don't lie. www.villarosapositano.it
