Portugal or Croatia

Hello all , we are a family of 9 (1 infant) planning a trip in August 1st wk for 8 nights . We are confused between Portugal and Craotia . We are looking for a luxurious vacation and don't mind some crazy parties for the wkend . We are not much of explorers but would indulge in fancy restaurants and hotels.
Would really appreciate if someone could advise suggested Itineraries for both the countries .
Thanks in advance

Croatia has better food and a reputation for serious partying.

Much of the partying takes place along the coast. A yacht isn't necessary but doesn't hurt.

Who stays with the infant when the others are getting wasted? Who gets up with the infant in the morning?

Why do you say that, lobo? Are you trying to keep the partiers away, lol?

I wouldn't say that Croatia has better food. Reputation for partying, quite possibly.

Thursdays, 8 ppl partying sounds like a lot of noise. IMHO, this trip style fits better in Croatia.

Food in Portugal is excellent but if you want to party with Russian mobsters Croatia will be a better bet.

However, Portugal does have a better live music scene.

Bilboburgler, please state facts about Russian mobsters in Croatia. I've been here for 8 years and have yet to meet one single Russian.

No I am not kidding. Now I have met many Russian who are now living down in Montenegro and moved south. Seems home prices here were too high and they left where the prices were far less.
