Pompeii train to Naples

Hi, my mom and I will be seeing the ruins at Pompeii and then taking a train to Naples---does the Circumvesuvian Scavi train go direct from Pompeii to Naples? How frequently does this run? How late does this run? Thanks again for all your help.

The Circumvesuviana runs regularly from Pompeii Scave to Naples - we've never waited for more than 10-15 minutes. I'm not sure how late it runs.

The trains are direct. They run about every half hour and take a half hour for the trip. Looking at a random date I see a train at 22:05. I searchd for one at 23:00 but couldn't find one so the 22:05 should be the last one. The site closes at 7:30 so I don't think you need to worry about trains later than 22:05.

Just buy the few euro tickets on CircumVesuviana at the station - can't even pre-order - this is like a metro/commuter rail line.

Be sure to get off at the right station in Naples. I saw some tourists with luggage stay on and know they were missing the stop.

Pompeii closes at 7:30 so you aren't in danger of missing the last train.

Here's the website.

http://www.eavcampania.it/web/

Your departure is Pompeii Scavi Villa Misteri. You want Napoli Garibaldi Stazione Centrale.

Here's the line stops. Not all trains stop at all stops. A few are a tad more express (not much) and have less stops.

If I buy a travel phone in France, how do I type in the numbers to make a US call? How do I use that phone in Italy to call a place in Italy? Thanks

<<<What is the right station to get off at in Naples? How do you know?>>>

You'll know . The ride will be a typical above-ground commuter train trip then suddenly it will pull into an underground/subway like station with 4 tracks & platforms (1 on each side and a wide island in the middle [4]||||[32]||||[1] and of course a roof .
