We (there are 3 of us) will be traveling by train from Sorrento to Naples via Pompeii. We all have backpacks in lieu of luggage. Do they have lockers big enough to fit a backpack so that we're not carrying them through our tour of the site.
Thanks, Andi

No lockers, which nowadays are considered a security risk, but there IS a left luggage room at the entrance to Pompeii.
Just to make it alittle easier unless of course they have moved it?
It was always was to the right of the ticket turnstiles in the same small bldg.
So enter and have 1 person get the tickets and the others drop-off the backpacks.
It's all outside in a small area so you will see everything as soon you enter.
Pick-up the audioguide tours there also (picture ID for security).
I've never heard of any problems with the luggage storage there but on the extreme outside chance there is a problem.
The snack bar in the Circumvesuviana Station in years past would store luggage for a fee.
