We are staying at Bolesawiec for a wedding and will be in the area for four days. We have heard that there are several outlets for Polish pottery and I have managed to read a little on the internet. I believe there are factory outlets as well as shops in Bolesawiec.
This will be a busy time catching up with family from around the world and being involved in wedding activities so we do not have a lot of time to check out all the shops.
I know some of you will say wait until you get there and ask the locals but would rather plan a little in advance so we can comfortably look at the pottery and get a chance to enjoy the area as well as the wedding activities.
Are there traditional and modern designs? Would like to look at both.
How many factory shops are there?
How many pottery shops are there in Bolesawiec and is there somewhere where I can get a map that marks them?
Would appreciate any comment.

We just spent four days in the city. There are about 12 large stores. The top ones for me are:
Andy's--small but unique- we bought a lot there
Manufaktura (three in total, one is an outlet) (they had 30% off the first hour of shopping)
Zaklady's--beautiful stuff
We got about 80 pieces of pottery for very cheap. We bought lots of gifts and the prices were good.
Just google the addresses, but if you are staying at the Blue Beetroot, they will have a map. Not the greatest map, but it did work.
Have fun!

But this is good information. (I have always wanted to go.
