No, but their tours appear to be the usual boilerplate Poland trips.

It would be easy to replicate for about half of their price.

I haven't done a Road Scholars trip yet, but I hear good things about them. I think there is an age requirement.

Road Scholar trips are for old buggers - are you in the AARP crowd? If not, try again.

The best way to do a trip that is non-boilerplate but has a set itinerary is to connect with an independent tour operator which will let you set the agenda and will connect you with day or half-day tours, hotels and transport.

Perhaps the OP is in the right age group for Road Scholars, what's wrong with that? There is no crime in being over age 50, it's what happens to everyone if they are lucky.

Frankly, the Chopin tours look pretty good to me, I'm not sure what a boilerplate versus not means -- they have one that visits some places you wouldn't find on a lot of typical tours (like Torun), for example. Tours are meant to cover places that appeal to most people going to a country who want to do a tour.

Of course you can do this on your own but the whole point of why people want tours is for convenient and someone handling everything for them, so they don't have to spend hours making arrangements and doing research (and in fact, I"ve been on a couple and it is convenient as they handle the luggage between hotels, all bookings, etc--and it's a good way to meet people if you are on your own, as I was). Staypoland is a good idea to check out, also.

Staypoland does function just as a travel agent if you want to set up your own agenda, but personally, I don't see the point of using onr or an independent tour operator if you are going to do all the work of setting the itinerary, booking the hotels, tours, transport, etc. You don't need a tour operator to "connect you" with hotels.

I'd suggest you also check out Polish American Tours in the US, if you are American. They are staffed by Polish natives and have some good itineraries, also.
