Please help with Rome hotel near Termini!

I will be in Rome for one night before my flight home the next day so I would like your suggestions for a hotel near Termini. I leave for the airport the next morning for an 11:00 flight home. I thought it would make departure easier to stay near the train station since I prefer to take the train to the airport rather than a cab. The last time I did this my hotel was a bad choice. I would prefer something in the 90-100 Euro range. Nothing fancy, just clean. Please help!

Hotel Aberdeen-in Rick Steves, Frommers and many other guidebooks. Great location(couple blocks from Termini) wonderful staff and rooms and super price. Rated on Tripadvisor as one of the favs for a 3 star hotel. I have used them (when I can get in!) for many many years.

Located on Via Torino-it is a quick safe walk to Termini or use a cab if you have luggage. Piazza Repubblica is the metro stop near the Diocletion (sp?)Baths and right off Via Nationale. They do have special offers too.

I stayed at Serena Hotel which is about a 5 min walk from Termini. I was really pleased with it for the value. It's really clean, comfortable, and friendly.

I second the Hotel Kennedy - a few blocks from Termini (exit the door to your left as you emerge from the trains (rather than the front door). Renovated a few years ago; friendly staff.

Inexpensive, quirky, clean, and convenient to Termini (5 min walk):
The Beehive

My son and daughter-in-law stayed here and loved it. We met up with them there and felt we would have been happy there too.

We stayed in Hotel Papa Germano, more traditional, simple, also convenient to Termini

Both are within your budget for a private room. (Both also have communal-type rooms--I would definitely go for the private rooms.)

We also stayed in Hotel Aberdeen on one trip and found it pleasant enough--not quite as convenient to the station but a good place to stay.

For one night I think any of these would be fine for you.

I've stayed in Papa Germano too. It's quite a step down from the Kennedy - very very small rooms but very very clean. Mostly geared toward the younger, backpacking crowd.

No elevator, if that matters to you.

Hotel Aberdeen - Can walk a few short blocks and take a bus to Termini. Bus stop is on Via Nationale just up and across from the McDonalds on the corner.

Another vote for Hotel Serena - stayed there while on a Rick Steves tour and it was quiet, clean, and air-conditioned!

I stayed at Aberdeen a few years ago. I think it won the all time award for "cleanest hotel" ever. The place sparkeled EVERYWHERE. And it was an easy commute to the train station.

Thanks very much. I am sure one of these will be just what we need. I appreciate your input.
