Please help us pick which of these two hotels, in Naples, Italy

Jump to last reply

Trying to decide between 2 hotels. Which one would you stay at and why? We will be in Naples for 1 night only - want to visit the archaelogical museum, take a walking tour, eat lots of pizza and other Neapolitan specialties!

We are arriving by ferry or hydrofoil from Capri, and departing by train for Rome, if that makes any difference.

M Gallery Palazzo Caracciolo - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187785-d1563712-Reviews-M_Gallery_Palazzo_Caracciolo-Naples_Province_of_Naples_Campania.html

Decumani Hotel de Charme - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187785-d1068538-Reviews-Decumani_Hotel_de_Charme-Naples_Province_of_Naples_Campania.html

Anyone with experiences at either or both?

I think the Decumani sounds like a hidden gem, but my husband is worried and thinks maybe M Gallery being larger is safer. It will be the 2 of us plus a 17 month old child.

Also, Decumani says that some of its rooms have a "lounge area" which I like. We can put the pack and play there. Could not tell how large the rooms were in comparison from one hotel to the other, though.

FYI, the prices we are finding on Expedia are within $10 of each other for similar sounding rooms.

Thanks.
