Hello
My worst fear for this trip has happened. I just received an email saying that our flight had been cancelled from Prague to Zagreb on Czech Airlines. I say 'worst fear' because the airline and flight number had been changed 2x in the past 3 months so I was just waiting for the ball to drop.
Other than renting a car for a very long drive - or taking an overnight train (all I will no doubt have to do some lengthy research on) - does anyone have any suggestions as to getting their somewhat speedy? We have hotels and reservations booked for the trip. Unfortunately Prague was the first leg of our 14 day trip - so this may very well cause havic.
Thank you for your help!

They are part of Skyteam alliance-surely they can rebook your flight.
Unless you fancy taking a MASSIVE diversion via Spain with Iberia try Croatia Airlines via Vienna
You should be also able to do the same by train - see bahn.de and seat61.com
Take a train to Dresden and fly to Zagreb with Germanwings.
Thank you for the suggestions. We are trying to contact Czech Airlines to see if they can rebook us on another flight - I don't have international service on my Blackberry and their New York Office no longer has a valid phone number. I'm trying to have a friend contact Czech Airlines. I looked on Expedia and there are other flights on this flight plan - only their are layovers, which is what I guess we will need to do. I'm hesitant in flying Czech Airline again - so will look into other airlines as well. It's our first time flying within Europe country to country so I'm a bit weary of what routes are good and what are more likely to be cancelled. We typically train or drive. Thank you again for your help!
I've checked the Prague airport and there seems to be only one flight a day to Zagreb.
Checking quickly at both the Prague airport and Zagreb airport, I can't see any fairly local mutual towns to make it a one stop to Zagreb.
I would be on the phone ASAP to try and get an answer.
Unless you're originating from Prague, I would check for other destinations to fly into that go nonstop to Zagreb.
The Zagreb airport link will let you see a listing of all inbound flights.
For international calls try Skype.
For trains see bahn.de. Looks like you have a choice of changing in Munich or in Vienna, but Czech Airlines should come up with something...
We did get booked on another flight with a short layover in Frankfurt. It seems the small airline (Jop Airlines) Czech had changed our flight to a few months ago went out of business - so they booked us on their flight to Frankfurt and then Croatian air to Zagreb. Fingers crossed I this flight stays as is. Thank you for all the suggestions - I appreciate it!
