We will fly from Atl- Berlin for 8 days
Spend 2 1/2 days here.
Take train from Berlin to Cochem
Spend 4 days here
Take day trips to trier, Burg Eltz, and a river cruise?? Are there other better trips to take?
Take train to Nuremberg spend remaining time here. From here take train to munich or Frankfurt and fly to Copenhagen. Spend 2 nights and tour 1 full day before getting on a Baltic Cruise. After the cruise fly to amsterdam spend 2 days touring before getting on Norwegian Fjords cruise. Following cruise take train (or fly, please advise) to salzburg (2 full days here, take train to Vienna for 2 full days take train to Prague for 2 full days before flying home.

I am afraid you're bouncing around like a ping pong ball from north to south then north then south and a couple of times east to west or vice versa. and spending a huge amount of time getting from one place to another and not very much time actually seeing/doing anything.
It's hard for me to picture this - since on the cruise you will also be doing only part of one day in each place. So I think you will get very superficial views of many places. And when you say 2 days here or there you don;t seem to have allowed for travel time - so although you will have 2 nights in several places that will actually only be 1 day. For instance you say 2 full days Salzburg, 2 full days Vienna and then 2 full days Prague - which would be 6 days plus 2 travel days for a total of 8. But I think you are only allowing 6 days.)
If it were me I would rethink the whole thing, pick a few places that you really want to see (Berlin deserves 4 full days - as in 5 nights) and simplify - and make it a rule to stay at least 3 nights in any hotel.

Are you actually spending "2 full days" in Salzburg, Vienna and Prague? Have you included travel days? All these 2 days here and 2 days there equals quite a bit of travel time.
My suggestion is to slow down and enjoy. Spend time going from Berlin to Prague and maybe over to Nuremburg.
You should get out a map and use your time wisely. It doesn't seem like you have that much of it.
What are your interests? What do you want to see?

Hi T,

I think that you will be exhausted. But if you must do it, I don't think that there are direct flights from AMS to SZG. Some of the stopovers can be very long.

Always consider that travel days will take time to check out of your hotel, get to the station, travel, find your new hotel, check in. Things could go smoothly or something could go wrong. Allow for this.
There are plenty of pretty villages, wwII sites etc so you don't have to, as nytraveler so aptly said, "ping pong" through your vacation.
Why Berlin? I love Berlin but it's I wouldn't consider it "pretty or a charming" city.
Why not google the Romantic Road? There you will find "pretty landscapes, charming cities town and villages" I promise.
