Planning: Prauge, Vienna, Salzburg, Bolzano

Jump to last reply

Hi! I'm going to be travelling in Europe for a month this summer, and for the first 2 weeks I'll be travelling alone by train. I've planned what I think is a doable itinerary, but would love some feedback.

I'm flying into Frankfurt (cheap flight), then taking the train to Prague the next morning.

1 night Frankfurt -not really expecting to see much in this time, but I don't want to take a late train to Prague
4 nights Prague
3 nights Vienna
2 nights Salzburg
3 nights Bolzano
Then heading from Bolzano to Venice where I'm meeting up with my travel partner there in the evening

Also thinking about stopping Innsbruck for an afternoon on the way from Salzburg to Bolzano.

I'm hoping to do some sight seeing, museums, and big city exploring in Prague and Vienna, then do some city exploring and hiking while in Salzburg and Bolzano, and maybe going to a lake in Salzburg.

I wasn't quite sure how to split up the days- from what I've seen it sounds like Prague needs 4 and Vienna 3- I'm not very sure about 2 for Salzburg and 3 for Bolzano (might swap?)

I would love to hear any advice! Thanks!
