Planning Glasgow to London with teen

Jump to last reply

We will be flying in to Glasgow in June with our 16-year-old daughter and flying out from London 11 days later. On her wish list are castles, history, Cambridge, Oxford, the London Eye and the British Museum. Rather than packing and unpacking all the time, I was thinking it would be nice to use a few towns as bases (possibly Edinburgh, London and ??) and do day trips.
We're planning to travel primarily by train, but could rent a car here and there when the transportation is otherwise too complicated. I'd very much appreciate some suggestions for things to do/see.
