Planning a week in Austria return flight from Zurich

Jump to last reply

Dear fodorites, I am a bit lost trying to plan our stay in Austria and hope to find some help.

We – myself, my wife and our 15 year old daughter, are planning to spend a week in Vienna after touring British Isles with her schools choir this summer. Return flight is from Zürich. After very hectic choir tour I hope we will enjoy piece and quiet in Vienna, visiting Kunsthitoriches museum, Albertina, browsing Old City etc. I don't know how to get to Zürich and what to do a day or two there before flying back. Train or plane? Or rent a car and drive through Saltzburg (spend a night there?)

I would truly appreciate if you will share your thoughts and ideas.
