Places to stay in Nice France

My husband and I are going in October to Nice France for 2 nights and were wondering if anyone had any suggestions about some affordable hotel options. We were looking in the range of $130-$150 CAD/night.
Having never been to Nice we would like to be located close to the beach and within walking distance to cafes/shops and attractions.

I just did a quick check on booking.com and there seem to be lots of hotel rooms available in October at the rates you'd like to pay. If you want to be near the beach, look at the hotels that are near the Promenade des Anglais and hopefully you can find something with a water view.

The descriptions will tell you where the hotels are in proximity to old town, the train station, etc. Being on the Promenade and close to old town will put you in a very good area for walking to lots of cafes and shops. Enjoy.

Le Royal Nice Hotel
Up to 40% Off Nice Hotels.
Deals.ReserveDiscountHotels.com

Stayed here last year $120/nt cute older seaside hotel

right on the promenade... splurge for the seaside if

u can swing it but very nice puts u back in the heyday

of the Belle Epoque when Nice was in its prime.

betterbidding.com Otel.com Booking.com for more expensive

Meridien and Aran Blu are 2 of my favs usually lots more $$$

unless you catch a deal bidding Priceline.com

Happy Travels!

www.priceline.com bidding picked up the Sheraton Elysee Palace

off season for $80 or so but just stick to that area if u bid.

Easy to get a hotel WAY off the promedade like the NH Hotel

which has happened to me ok not great more of a tourist hotel.

Avoid that one too far from the Promenade.

hotwire.com has the Citadines for $100 decent promenade apts

I have stayed in rally prefer hotels but they were fine

and well located for price.

Happy Hunting!

I will second Stu Dudley's recommendation of the Hotel Windsor, before he even makes it!

Take a look at the Hotel Massena. We enjoyed our stay in 2008.
Just off Place Massena and only 5 minutes from the Promenade des Anglais.

We're currently staying at the Hotel Grimaldi and having a very good experience. We paid
140 Euros per night, which included full breakfast and a beach package for one day (which we really enjoyed!) Location is good, 5 minute walk to beach, but no ocean view. Prices may be lower in October.

I just stayed at the Beau Rivage. Great location - basic, clean rooms, booked it through hotels.com. I'd go back and stay at the same place.

We also enjoyed the Hotel le Grimaldi. It offers a great breakfast, too, for a small additional cost like 12EU or close to that. No water view, but we had a small balcony overlooking the church and it was lovely. Great walking location. Close to train station. 15- 20 minute walk to bus station. We walked to and from Old Town every day.
