Hello
What comes across here, assuming that English is not your first language, is sounding a little demanding.
Let me make some suggestions.
If you click at the top of this screen on Destinations, you will find a great deal of information on Paris and Venice, provided by fodors.com
That should help you narrow down some of your priorities.
There are no icy mountains in either Paris or Venice.
If you would like some additional suggestions here, please provide specific information: what do you want to spend on hotels per night, and what time of year are you going?
You will also want to purchase a good map of each city, and a basic guidebook.
Fodors books for Paris and for Venice are very useful imo.
Congratulations on your wedding.
Well said, Elaine. I, too, think indianguy should do some research and then come back with some more specific questions.
Hi indian,
What is your budget for hotels?
Thanks for your replies
Ira: I am looking at &100-&150 (for 2) budget per night
Elaine & Howard: I will did some more research ! Thanks
Can you pls. give me some indications of travel within city. It could be public transport, taxi or anything!
Thanks

Can you pls. give me some guidance on public transport/taxi in these cities
Thanks
What type of guidance on public transportation are you looking for. Paris has taxis, buses, subway; Venice has water taxis and water buses (vaporetto).
By the way - you won't find icy mountains in either Venice or Paris!
Try this site for information about Venice: http://www.turismovenezia.it/eng/dynalay.asp?PAGINA=437
Hi Indian,
In Paris, I can highly recommend the hotel where we always stay.
Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte. About 120E/night
Tel 33 (0)1 43 26 97 37
FAX 33 (0)1 46 33 57 67
They do not have a website.
In Venice you might want to consider the Hotel Bernardi Semenzato.

You can fly from Paris Orly to Venice Marco Polo cheaply on www.volareweb.com
