On our way from different places, we are planning to meet with friends in Andorra. None of us have ever been there, so we would appreciate hearing of a restaurant or any convenient place to meet. Thanks!

Chitri,
Will you be coming from Spain or France?
If you're entering from Spain during the summer, particularly July/Aug., please know that the traffic on the road from Seu may be horrendous(it was for us in late July). Spaniards in great numbers flock to Andorra for low prices on electronics, cheap gas and tobacco, and when we were last there traffic moved at a snail's pace. Andorra La Vella has 4,000 stores, kind of a "duty free" shopping bazaar, consumerism run amok, but there are buys if you happen to be in a shopping frame of mind.
Two thoughts regarding meeting places: You might like to meet at the Andorra Park Hotel at Els Canals 24, which seemed to us an oasis of tranquility (also has nice catalan cuisine) amid the commericalism. Or if you're in need of some real relaxation and not just passing thru, you could meet at the gigantic glass Caldea spa, a water palace, where you could spend an hr. or so soaking in Andorra's famous hot springs.
If you have time to spare and would like to see a really picturesque Catalan village far removed from the commercial hubbub, the drive up to Os de Civis would make a nice journey (it's actually in Spain but better reached from Andorra-when we tried to access it from Spain, the road just seemed to stop mid way up the mountain!) It's one of Catalunya's more picturesque hamlets, a bucolic spot.
Happy travels,
Maribel
