Piedmont Base Recommendations

Jump to last reply

My wife and I will be visiting the Piedmont area for 3 days early October 2013. We would just like to spend time in the countryside and chill for few days - perhaps visiting some wineries, exploring good food options, etc.. Thinking about using either Asti or Alessandria as a base, but have not committed to either location. Would appreciate comments and recommendations about these locations as well as other suggestions about where to stay in the Piedmont region. We would prefer to rent a small apartment, and will have a car. Appreciate the help.... Thanks!
