I bought Alhambra tickets online several months ago. I just realized reading some forum posts that when you pick up the tickets at the alhambra from a machine you need your PIN for the credit card. I don't know that info and the CC company won't give that info over the phone and will only mail it to your house. That wouldn't get to me before I leave for the trip.

So is my only solution, having the credit card I purchased the tickets with, but not the PIN for the CC, to queue up at the Alhambra in a line that has a person? Will I be able to pick up my tickets from a person at the Alhambra that way (unable to use the ticket machines, but still able to get my tickets)?

The pin referred to is part of a credit card with a chip embedded in it.

If you don't have the chip and pin CC, you will need the credit card you purchased the tickets with in order to collect them at the ticket window. You can collect them ahead of time if you'd like, or wait until the day you have the tour.

I do not have a chip or pin cc and I was able to pick up my tix at a machine inside a bank in Granada the day prior to my visit.

Oh, okay, thanks for explaining that. Now I don't feel so bad about not having a PIN, it would have been the wrong kind anyway

I'll try to get the tickets at a machine inside a bank, in case it might work, before I walk up to the Alhambra.

I got mine at La Caixa bank on c/Reyes Catolicos, #40; I believe I used my Amex card.

<Tickets can also be obtained either at the ticket vending machines located at the Alhambra Entrance Pavilion or at the Tienda de la Alhambra shop in Granada’s city centre on Calle Reyes Católicos nº 40, paying by credit card.
