Piccadilly Line Closure at Heathrow!
Just saw this on a newlettter I received from British Airways. This will affect anyone planning to use the tube to get into London from Terminal 4 at Heathrow...
Piccadilly Line to close for 20 months
Customers using the London Underground to travel to and from Heathrow's Terminal 4 are being advised to allow an additional 15 minutes for their journey. A twenty-month construction project will close the Piccadilly section of track, including the T4 station, from January 2005 to September 2006. This closure will only affect passengers using T4. However, every effort is being made to minimise the inconvenience to these passengers.
A free bus service will take travellers to and from the Hatton Cross station and T4. These buses will run every six to seven minutes and passengers will be dropped off directly in front of T4.
British Airports Authority (BAA), train ticketing facilities and London Underground will provide additional personnel to assist customers during this time.
Travellers will still be able to transfer, free of charge, between all terminals using the Heathrow Express. Those with significant mobility challenges are advised to utilise the Heathrow Express for transfers.

But struggling to get luggage on board a bus doesn't sound like fun either. Granted, there will probably be much more walking with the HEX option (the walk from HEX at T1,2,3 to the tube station.)
