Piazzale Michelangelo May 12

Just wanted to give travelers a heads up that on Sunday, May 12, the 9th stage of the Giro d'Italia race is finishing in the Piazzela Michelangelo. It's possible they'll start setting up the night before (Saturday), but not sure. In any event, if you come to the P.M. on Sunday seeking a quiet setting, you won't find it. Instead, you'll find a very excited, lively crowd welcoming and cheering on bike racers from around the world in this premiere race.

If you've never been to a European cycling race, this is your opportunity to experience a truly unique, fun European sporting event. Should be a great day!
