We will be in St Pete in July on a two day extension after our Baltic land tour. Would like to visit Peterhof but looking at hydrofoil transport/tours the cost doesn't seem to be a real value, not to mention the problem of the return trip.
Frommers recommended Davranov Travel that offers a bus tour for a reasonable price. Has anyone used Davranov and would you recommend them? If not, can you recommend any other Peterhof travel companies that offer a quality-economical tour to the Peterhof?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

We took the hydrofoil on our own which wasn't expensive then a car and driver met us to go to Pushkin.. It was 15 years ago.
The hydrofoil stops at the bottom of the gardens. Not possible to take it or a public bus back to St. Petersburg?
I understand your "concerns." Having spent two days and parts of nights cramming in as much of the city and environs as we could I would only say that you should find SOME way to do as much as you can. The sights are truly remarkable and worth as much time and money as you feel comfortable spending.
