Paying for confirmed Scavi Tour, and other reservation questions.

Jump to last reply

Has anyone been on a tour recently? If I am reading my confirmation e-mail correctly, I don't pay until the day of the tour, but *everything* I read online says that you have to pay in advance.

Just looking for reassurance as I am VERY excited about this!

I am also hoping to see Pompeii for one day while traveling between Positano and Rome - Is there a way to buy tickets ahead of time? I can't find anything online. Since it will be a travel day, I was hoping to make things simpler for myself.

Finally, I am leaving for Italy in two weeks (Brescia/Nave, Positano, and Rome). What kind of things should I be booking now? I understand that I am going at the busiest possible time, and my last day there, many things will be closed (8/15 - I am actually doing the colosseum tour that day), but I am wondering if I will be able to get into restaurants, etc, or if I should book them very early. I will be traveling alone, so maybe that will help? (I think that is how I got onto a Scavi tour so last minute.)

This site has been a huge resource - Thank you all so much!
