I'll be travelling to Europe from Canada mid to late May and Paros has been recommended by a friend, but I'm wondering what the island will offer at that time of year. I'm in my mid 30's and male. Will the bars be full of other tourists/locals at that time? I'll be travelling alone, so I am looking for something social once the sun goes down and even during the day. Any feedback?

It won't be a busy on Paros mid-May as it will be on the more popular islands with singles-oriented nightlife. You might want to consider Santorini instead. You'll find all the social activity you could ask for there, in the main village of Fira.
Perfect. Thank you!
If you do decide on Santorini you're invited to join in a full-moon dinner gathering in Oia at the Laokasti Restaurant, across from the large Church of St. George. The bus will stop right out front. It's about 200 yards past the Perivolos Market.
Duh......May 17, 7pm.
