We are going to Paris in June and would like to go and see one of the can can shows,
has anyone been to a couple of different to compare them.
I know Moulin Rouge is the dearest is this because it is ACTUALLY the best ? The other options as listed below seem to all vary in price- are they are similiar ie Topless and Raunchy
La nouvelle eve
folies bergere
crazy horse
lido de paris
I am thinking of just doing the show as I have been to big venues like this and the food is quite basic for what you pay for - is this the case with these shows it seems quite expensive with the meal.
I know some of you will say don't waste your money and just don't go but it is something we thought would be fun to do whilst in Paris.
Thanks Kathy
Paris- which show

My take on this is...food is average and expensive. Eat a nice dinner out, then go to late show.
It would seem that these are more geared to a tourist market, so take that for what it's worth. I've been to Paradis latin, on my first trip there. In all my other trips, not on the menu.
I'll leave it to others to recommend the best.
if you think they'll be raunchy - you may be disappointed.
I thought both were overpriced, and in the end I considered both a waste of a fine evening. But that's just me, and it was a number of years ago.

The most fun we have had in a club in Paris was at Aux Troi Mailletz http://www.lestroismailletz.fr/ We dropped into the upstairs piano bar on impulse one evening and listened to the piano player, a couple of singers, and some locals belt out a few, all for the price of a drink. We made reservations for the show for another night, and had a simply wonderful time down in that crowded cellar. Food was so, so, but the entertainment was top notch and high energy. Started around 11:00, and we reluctantly left around 4:30am.
