Paris transportation from hotel to airport
Can someone recommend a good service to get from our hotel in the 6th
to DeGaulle airport?
Is taxi the best way?
We don't want to take public transportation.
Thank you.

You are looking at a big bill and possible traffic jams to contend with. The train gets you there in 30 minutes or less and from Gare du nord, you can come out of the station and take a taxi. In Europe, the airport trains are always best due to massive traffic problems.

Taxis from the 6th should cost from 50€ to 55€ to CDG and take about 45 minutes. Allow an additional 30 minutes if it is raining.
This one number will call a Taxi Parisien - 01 45 30 30 30
_____
Taxi G7 has an English speaking operator - 01 41 27 66 99

Hi Sa,
Since you are leaving from your hotel, let them arrange a shuttle or cab for you.
The service won't want to get in Dutch with them by giving you inferior service.
A shuttle will be about 20E pp. A cab about 55E.
Enjoy your visit.

Ask your hotel to call you a taxi. Allow at least an hour and 15 minutes. The cab will arrive from the stand with some charge on the meter--to get to the hotel--so be ready in the lobby at the time you have ordered it so the meter won't run while you might be coming down from your room.
It will be in the neighborhood of 50-60E. You may or may not have traffic etc. It is easier than the train by FAR.

Comparisons such as this are misleading and only confuse. A taxi is a private, point to point service. A 20€ shuttle (and most are 25€+) is not a private mode of transportation. These shared ride shuttles can absorb enormous amounts of en route time as shuttles wait to pickup other passengers and you'll wait to drop them off. If money is a concern, the train at 9.50€ is less than half the price of a shared ride shuttle and usually offers much faster en route times.
There are private shuttles but typically these will cost much more than do taxis, particularly for parties of 3 or more passengers.
