Paris to Bruges train

Jump to last reply

We are in the process of finalizing our trip plans and now need to get train tickets from Paris to Bruges (they go on sale in a day or so for our timeframe). I've read the Man in Seat 61's site to successfully purchase tickets to and from Beaune, but this latest seems a bit more confusing. I experimented using earlier days, and I think this is what I should do:
arrange for TGV tickets from Paris to Lilles (Flandres) and then wait to buy tickets from Lilles Flandres to Bruges when we arrive in Lilles. I've checked the DB Bahn site as suggested, which shows trains to Bruges leave hourly from Lilles Flandres. I understand this train goes through Kortrijk (although I don't know if we'll have to change trains there). I would then do the reverse to get back to Paris (prearrange the TGV part but buy the Bruges to Lille Flandres in Bruges). Does this sound right? Have I missed anything? What is the difference between Lille Flandres and Lille Europe?
Thanks to all on this site who share their experiences so willingly.
