paris to amsterdam

Taking Air France to Paris then connecting to Amsterdam. Has anyone taken this flight, not much time 50 minutes to connect but airlines says because it's next gate no problem.

Hi dari,

If you don't have any checked baggage you will probably make it.

Which terminals do you fly into/out of.

ira,
Thanks for your reply. We fly out of CDG and into Schiphol. We don't claim our luggage until Amsterdam.

Hi dari,

Your luggage will still have to be transferred.

I suggest you bring some necessities in your carryon, and don't be surprised if your luggage is delivered the next day.

You will go through passport control (immigration) at CDG, but don't need to pick up luggage.

Air France and KLM now belong to the same company, and should have many flights a day between CDG and AMS; so even if you miss the connection, they can easily put you on a later flight.

OK, so the airlines aren't always 100% reliable when they give out "information" but, on the other hand, you ARE flying on them and not on this board. Anytime you make an airline connection I think you should always be prepared for mis-directed luggage or the chance of a missed connection and plan accordingly. Besides, what happened on those sequences in the past are no guarantee of what may, or probably won't, happen to you.

Fine suggestion. It's a good idea to always have some essentials in your carryon. CDG is one of the few European airports that has misplaced my luggage. They delivered it 2 days later.
