Just doing some looking around, "just in case". Trying to see what is out there for inexpensive, safe, student housing on or off campus. How do people in Paris find a group apartment for just the summer, sharing with essentially, strangers? Thanks for your help. Looking in the 15th or 7thm (or 6th?) area. Also, what fees should one expect, other than rent? Are utilities generally included. I saw one apt rental site that says a month is 28days. Is that common?
Thanks again.

Where exactly is campus?
Campus refers to a schools buildings including their dormitories, housing.
Let me try that again. I am looking for a school that has summer programs that might be willing to extend their housing to a student who might be in Paris on a college work co-op. (not at their specific college)
Check to see if your country has a building at the Cité Universitaire.
When bardo1 asked "where" I read it as "what"... sorry. (I thought maybe it was a term that might not be used in Europe...)
Many universities in europe don't have campuses in the sense of suburban schools (just as many city schools in the US don't have discrete campuses).
If you are looking for recos for student housing you need to contact the schools in question - but I would assume their students receive priority in terms of housing.
Whatever program you are considering will give you that information, any decent one will. If you are considering some program that refuses to even given suggestions or references on how you would get student housing, I wouldn't go there. Any university has their arrangements you can just sign up with them, and all other institutes or even private language programs in Paris that I know of either have places they recommend, if they don't handle the arrangements themself. I've been to 3 and they all had that (of course 2 were universities, so they have foyers/cite universitaire), but even the private school I attended had a regular relationship with a private foyer/hostel, whatever you want to call it.
Such as this one http://www.fiap.asso.fr/index-en.html
I've never tried to rent an apt with a stranger in Paris, so don't know you you'd do that.
AS for you trying to find student housing when you are not really a student, there are private foyers where you are supposed to be a student or official French intern. The above link is open to everyone, here is a nice one, also http://www.fie.fr/
I suspect no one here can say off the top of their head who will let you stay in their student housing next summer. As mentioned you need to contact some colleges and ask. Here's a few in the arrondissements you mentioned:

Here is a report I made long ago about the Cité Universitaire -- this is exclusively student housing and every summer they allow visiting students to rent rooms (unless there is something like the world athletic championships going on, in which case it houses athletes).

Thank you all so much... will check some of the links out tomorrow.
When my niece took a summer course last year she asked the school about housing and they gave her the name of an agent they recommend. The agent presented several properties but none were particularly wonderful. I found a studio on VRBO (#311242) where she ended up staying and loved it, but it is not in the 7th or 15th.
Cité Universitaire - as mentioned by kerouac - may be a good option if your daughter qualifies http://www.ciup.fr/en/ We looked at it for niece but it was not as convenient as the studio on Trudaine
