paris shopping for photo album

I think it would be a fun souvenir to get an attractive photo album while I'm in Paris to put pics of my trip in when I get home. Where can they be purchased? Are there good stationery stores I should search out, or/and do they have them in Museum shops? How do you say "Photo album" in French? Thanks!

There are papéteries all over Paris, some of the notable ones being in the 6th arrondisement. Also, every large department store (Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, La Samaritaine, BHV...) has a stationery department with a wide selection of photo albums. It won't be hard to find one.

The French term is "album de photos".

I think museum shops might be a good bet on that, although I can't say that I've looked for one. There are a lot of small stylish shops in the mall in the lower level of the Louvre, I think that would be a good place to look, also, as well as the Louvre's own shop.

Karen, I bought a beautiful leather scrapbook with gorgeous handmade paper at Galeries Lafayette. It is very nicely made and also has a thin onionskin paper between each page so that pictures on both pages won't rub against each other. Although I'm not positive, I think the Stationery section was on the 4th floor. I also got some smaller scrapbooks with more beautiful handmade paper at L'Espace Ecriture, a writing shop on the eastern side of the square of Place de Vosges. (These could also be used as a journal.) Have fun!
Try the lowest floor in Bon Marché -- I saw a lot of interesting things there last month. BHV would be another good guess.

Thanks, you all are so helpful! 4 days and counting to my trip, down to just thinking of the smallest details!
