Paris - Rue Cler or Rue Jacob?

Jump to last reply

My sister and I, along with my college age daughter will be visiting Paris for the first time this summer. I understand Rue Jacob is a great, centrally located place to stay. I've also read plenty of positive reviews about the Rue Cler area. I've found similar rates for the hotels I'm looking for. From my research - I get the impression the markets, cafes, etc. in the Rue Cler area may be less expensive than similar spots around Rue Jacob? I know we'll be all over Paris - but if all things are equal - my question is which area would you stay in on your first trip to Paris?
