Paris Palais Garnier tickets for sold out ballet performances

Hi,
I will be going to Paris next week and would LOVE to see a ballet performance at the Palais Garnier. Unfortunately, when I checked the Opera website, all the tickets seem to be sold out!! Is there any way I can possibly get refunded tickets or the like on the day of? If so, where should I go and what time should I line up? Thanks!!

We waited until we got to Paris one year to try to get tickets and we were still unable to get anything at the Box Office, but that is still what I would recommend.

I would ask the concierge at your hotel - I'm sure he/she could get tickets for you - although I'm not sure what the premium would be.

I think those are the usual options, as well as possible scalpers around the building. I think I usually see some, but don't know if that is illegal in France or not. If you aren't really savvy and/or can't read French, you might get sold a bogus ticket, though (past date, etc.).

I don't think the Garnier even handles refunded tickets or exchanges, but I'm not sure about that. I think they don't want to be in the business of selling people's tickets who change their mind. IN any case, I'd just go to the ticket window at the building the day of performance and see what they have. It is possible they will have some availble that are not sold online, if that is suitable. They can be sold out online and still have some; in particular, I don't think they ever sell the really cheap seats online, but only at the box office.

Try the FNAC web site for tickets. Good luck!
