Paris museum open on Bastille Day

Jump to last reply

We will be in Paris during that week of July, the Louvre is closed since it's a Tuesday.
I plan to visit Orsay Museum that day .I checked the website ,there is no indication that it is closed on July 14. Are all museums in Paris free on Bastille Day? i probably will skip the military parade on Champs Elysee but will see the fireworks that night . Back in 2010 ,we saw the fireworks from Champ de Mars, but so crowded. My kids were having problem watching the fireworks amongst a sea of people. i am thinking ,maybe we can just stand on one of the bridges and see the top of the tower and see some of the fireworks. Where is the best view to see the fireworks without going all the way to Champ de Mars? We're staying in 3 arr.
