Trip Report Paris makes more music

It's not my trip yet, but certainly will be. I want to see another palace of culture that just opened in Paris. The new home for Orchestra de Paris, the Philharmonie de Paris, debuted a week ago in La Villette, on the city's northeast 19th arrondissement adjacent to Cite de la Musique. It certainly looks gorgeous although only time can tell how it will sound. Obeying Paris tradition, it ran well over budget and stirred a temper tantrum from architect Jean Nouvel who skipped the opening on the argument that not all the details were finished.
