Paris Itinerary - 4 Days

Jump to last reply

I leave this week for my vacation in Europe (!) - Amsterdam (3 days), Brussels (1 day), and Paris (4 days), and want to check my Paris itinerary out with the professionals!

I have been to Paris twice, but not within the last 6 years, my husband has never been to Paris. His only request was to visit Versailles so I want to work that in. We are staying at a hotel in the 1st arrondisment Here is what we are thinking:

Tuesday - arrive Paris in the evening from Brussels

Wednesday - Hot Chocolate at Angelina's; Visit the Louvre; Wander through the Tuileries (if not freezing), walk the Champs-Elysees and wind up at the Arc de Triomphe. (can we add in the Marais after the Louvre?)

Thursday - Eiffel Tower, Rodin Museum, wander around St-Germain (debating on visiting the d'orsay), Latin Quarter, Notre Dame

Friday - Versailles day trip; depending on what time we get back Montmartre and Sacre Couer

Saturday - Opera Garnier, Au Printemps, Galeries Lafayette, Afternoon at Musee Marmottan (my favorite museum)

Sunday - Afternoon flight home

Does this sound like a doable itinerary? Is there anything major we are missing? We're not huge museum people but want to make sure we see the big ones (i.e. when we go to the Louvre, we won't be there for house, visit a few exhibits, see the Mona Lisa). My favorite thing about Paris is wandering around the streets, eating in the cafes, and just enjoying Parisian life.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
