Paris in the rain and photo opportunities

Jump to last reply

Given the fact that there will be plenty of showers/rain this next week in Paris, I am changing my outlook and will focus on interesting photographs and, hopefully, some a bit unusual. I belong to a camera club and I'm hoping to get some good shots to submit for the judging in this next season. I have a small camera (Canon PowerShot G10) that allows me some control yet is easy to carry around.

I would appreciate your suggestions on where (other than the obvious tourist sites) you would find yourself if you were in my shoes wandering around Paris. I love photographing people, but am usually too shy to intrude on their privacy -- but they usually make wonderful subjects if shot candidly. I enjoy architectural perspective. And, although cheesy, I like doors/windows and "pretty" shots like flowers. Unlikely I will see night since it's late June.

Thank you. Diane
