Paris: how to save money! & see the touristic places + Disneyland in 3days?

Hi friends

my name is Ali, student in Swiss
we are 7 adults plus 2 kids (less than 3 years),
in mid July we want to see Paris for just 3days (2-3nights)

we want to see Eiffel (half day),Bateaux Parisiens River Cruise (half day), Louvre Museum (half-1day) and Disneyland (1day) totally 3 days.

1- what is the best and Cheapest way to save our money? we will come from Genève.
2- is there any package for 3 days (hotel+ticket)?
3- do you advise us to buy Paris Pass or anything else?
4- Paris Pass cover Eiffel and Disneyland plus transport to Disney?
5- for Disneyland, is there any package for 1 night hotel?
6- howmuch is the basic ticket for disney and eiffel?

thanks a million
cheers
Ali

If you are staying 3 nights, you may get better prices on hotels. There are several sites you can use to check out hotel options (how many rooms will you need?) I have been partial to venere.com, but there are other sites you may find useful.
Are you driving or taking the train? (will you need parking)

I can't help you with Disney, but if you are only focusing on what you've noted (which makes sense traveling with 2 little kids) the Paris Pass (the Museum pass) isn't worth the money. I would expect that Disney has a website for Paris Disney

The river cruises are only 1 hour, not 1/2 day. You can save money by purchasing your ticket ahead for the Vedettes-du-Pont-Neuf or by purchasing a discount voucher.

The Louvre is free on Friday nights for people who are 26 years old or younger. Children are always free. There is also a discounted admission on Wednesday nights.

The Paris Pass is not usually a good idea since it is expensive. You will need to check pricing for individual tickets vs. the price of the pass.

For using the metro or buses (I suggest buses with young children because of the many stairs in the metro) you can buy a book of 10 individual tickets (called a carnet) at a discounted rate. These are good for the metro and buses.

You can check ticket prices on the internet.

If you want a 3 day hotel plus train or airline ticket you should go to a local travel agent in your town.

Thank you Adrienne for such a nice answer. So many of them are on the nasty side. I read the forum just about every day but, seldom post anything. You gave good answers, about what they wanted to do, not what they should do.

thanks
we do not want to rent any car!
i also think if we request each ticket is cheaper than Paris Pass
we may need 3 rooms, 3ple rooms.

There is a site you can get Disney tickets from -- they have a combo, round-trip train tickets from Paris to the park and one-day admission. It is 69Euro per adult and if the children are under 3 I THINK they are free. (I noticed the link when looking for Roissy bus info from CDG)

For affordable dining, I have a list called "A Selection of 80 Inexpensive and Good Parisian Restaurants (French Cuisine Only)" published by Paris Eiffel Tower News around 2006 (so may not be completely up to date). We have liked the handful on the list we have tried so far. I don't see it anymore on their Web site, so if you want the pdf file (22 pages, by arrondissement) email me at [email protected]
