Paris Hotel Information

I'm starting a new thread-I originally wrote under Seeking Paris-in-August advice.

I'm looking for some feedback on a few hotels I have found. We are a family of three and looking for a clean, safe and air conditioned hotel. Ideally, we'd like a place that has some French flair rather than a U.S. chain. Our price range is somewhat open, we'd like a place that leaves us some money for touring! So, that translates to approximately 150 Euros +/- ??????

The hotels I have found so far are: Hotel Dacia Luxemburg, Hôtel Muguet, L'Hôtel des Saints-Pères.

I'd appreciate any information you have on these hotels or any other hotels or ideas!

Thank you

Hi To,

If you look up your hotels in the "search this forum" box, you will find many reviews.

We always stay at the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. About 124E dbl w/bkfst. I think their triples are 157E.

It is clean, safe and has an elevator and AC.

For more info, enter "Hotel Bonaparte" in the "search this forum" box.

I could load these photos just fine. ToParis, make sure you've copied the entire URL?

Ira, a great idea to post pictures of the hotel you are commenting on. Thanks for doing that. This gives me a much better idea of what you are saying in your review/comments. Would love more of that on this board! I'll have to do this myself as well.

Hotel des Saints-Peres is better located than either Muguet or Dacia, and should be a bit quieter than Dacia. (just my opinion from being a "Paris-ite&quot...

Hi Ira -
Thank you for your reply. I tried to look at your photos and could only view the first one of entry way. That looked nice!!!

Also trying to find a link to the hotel to write asking about availability and I'm having trouble finding a link to that hotel. I'm finding this unusual because I've had no trouble finding others. If you have a web address or link to the hotel, I'd very much appreciate it.

Thank you -

The Hotel des Saints Peres is located on a nice street in St. Germain. It's about a half block away from Blvd. St. Germain's shops and cafes and the neighborhood is fairly quiet. There's traffic but it's not too busy. Personally I prefer this hotel (never had the chance to stay there but know the area) than the other two you list. I do think a triple will be more than 150 euro however.

Hotel Bonaparte doesn't have a website or internet presence (other than Ira's photos). You'll need to call or fax them. Ira's been staying there for years.

Ira, wow, nice photos of the Bonaparte, thanks. I love that marble bathroom. Mme. Dumas should pay you for promoting her hotel!!

We just returned from our stay at the Hotel la Bourdonnais in Paris. We loved its location in the 7th, as it's a quieter and more upscale neighborhood. We had a view of the Eiffel Tower from our balcony, and the Rue Cler is just around the corner. Even a small market next door for quick items needed. It has a lift and AC, and was very reasonably priced at $225 for its quad room. Nice and helpful staff, large room for Paris, nice bath. Not a four-star property, but a solid three. Can't beat the location. A metro stop just less than a block away, Eiffel Tower Batobus stop very close, too. http://www.hotellabourdonnais.com/

Have a look at Hotel Timhotel Elysees, a hotel part of Timhotel chain. It is air conditionned hotel anf I saw they have triple rooms. It is a 3 stars hotel and I think it is in your budget. As the name suggested it, it is located near Champs Elysees, it is centrally located in the 8th...
Have a look at the website: http://www.h-elysees.com
Have a nice trip!
