Paris Hotel Help for Family

I am seeking help in finding a hotel/apartment for a family of four in Paris during the second week of August. I would like to stay in district 1-7 if possible and would like to have AC, private bath, in a price range around $200.00/night. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Dear Ivey;

I have been doing a lot of reserach lately as I am taking my two children to Paris for spring break. I learned of two very helpful services for appartments that may suit your needs. All you have to do is give them your date of arrival and departure and they e-mail back a list of appartments available usually along with pics.

Addresses: www.paris-appartements-services.fr
www.PSRyourhomeinPARIS.com

Hope this helps.

Patricia

Check www.chezvous.com. They offer apartments throughout Paris and I think they're easily in your price range.

My family (four -- 2 girls, 9 and 4)just returned from a week in Paris. We stayed at the Grand Hotel St. Michel, on Rue Cujas in the Latin QUarter, right near the Sorbonne and Luxembourg Gardens. We had a two room suite -- each girl had her on bed (a deep/firm sofa and pull out trundle, in a sitting room, and a second room with a standard European "double" -- two twins pushed together. Both rooms had TVs, and the bath was very nice. We paid 1290 francs/night, which last week was US$188. The hotel was recently renovated and very clean and friendly. There is a buffet breakfast available (not included in the room price). You can walk to the Seine and Notre Dame, in 10-15 minuites, plus you are near several metro stops. Having stayed in several different hotels in Paris, I HIGHLY recommend this. They have e-mail -- [email protected] and can be found on the internet at www.123france.com. We made our reservations through Pariserve.com, but the front desk employees at the hotel speak several languages, incl. english. Tel. is 01 46 33 33 02.

I just helped friends book a family room at the Hotel de L'Odeon for June. I can't remember the price-but I think it was in you range. The nice part is that it sounds quiet because it is on the Place Saint Sulpice.

The folks were great on the phone-if you haven't booked by then, e-mail me in late June (after the 25th) and I will let you know how the rooms are

jeanne

Wife & I w/2 teens just returned Mon. Home Plazza Bastille is a very nice, clean all suite hotel. Every room has mini stove, micro & ref. It's located between Bastille & Republic, around the corner from the St. Sebastian Metro. E-mail [email protected]. We thought it was great & it's well within your price range.

We stayed (w/2 daughters) in Novotel Gare de Lion, right next to this large train station, 15 mn. from the city center by the very efficient, safe Metro.
The price is right. It's a modrern, simple and clean hotel, style Holiday Inn. rooms relatively large and quiet, has even a heated swimming pool, good breakfast.
And you don't have to call Paris, call 800-NOVOTEL.
Since then, we have stayed in NOVOTEL in several other cities in Europe. Never disappointed.
Amik.
