We are experienced Paris travellers. We have stayed in several hotels over the years as well as apartments. So far, our favorite was the Caron de Baumarchais in the Marais.
We may well be heading there again in October and I am starting to look at hotels. We do like the Beaumarchais and the Marais. I think we are more right bank than left bank folks. Any suggestions? My guess is we will be there for 4-5 days and then heading to either Provence or Switzerland.

Pam:
You might want to take a look at the Hotel Bretonnerie which is in the Marais. I have stayed there a couple of times and would return without hesitation.

We stayed in the Hotel Bretonnerie several times and reallly liked it. Great location and quiet despite its location. The last few visits we've stayed in apts, but if we did a hotel we'd go back to Bretonnerie. All the rooms are very different, so look over the website and ask questions before you make reservations if u decide to stay there.
