Paris GTG - October 21

Alone in Paris postings have indicated interest in a Paris GTG for October 21. There are several of us Fodorites planning on attending so far. Please sign on here if you are interested for drinks or a light supper that (early?) evening. Cafe suggestions welcome!

The Green Linnet, isn't that where our friend Bruce McAleer, a/k/a French Mystique Tours, works some evenings? That would be a treat.

A couple of years ago, we had a GTG at Bouillon Racine. The bar area is lovely and it was quiet enough to chat...fairly central and close to Metro...

Just topping this thread to ensure others who might be interested in joining us are aware we are meeting in the late afternoon or evening of Wednesday, October 21. It looks like our destination is not yet determined, but we will be meeting somewhere.

I'd love to meet at Boullion Racine - 5:00 pm, Wednesday, 10/21 if that works for all interested. Reservation needed once we know how many? Or, not necessary for drinks and perhaps dinner TBD? Advise please, those of you who have been to a Fodorite GTG.

Thanks travelchat for taking the bull by the horns and making a decision about time and place. By my review, I think at this time there are six of us - travelchat, cynthia_booker, Traviata and DH, Pariswat and myself (teacherCanada).

Hi
Bouillon Racine is great.
5pm is early afternoon for me - do you plan a drink or dinner or ?
I am usually free around 8 but can come around 6 if only drink planned.

Our plans are still in flux for that night, but, right now it seems we will be available around 5:00, not later on. Hope that can work......

17:00 is time for just drinks, isn't it? How could reservations be necessary for a drink?

In any case, the website says this, which is good news:
De 15h à 19h, le Bouillon fait également salon de thé et propose un Happy Hour de 17h à 19h.

Kerouac, sometimes when one has a large-ish group at certain places in the US--even just for cocktails, they prefer that you have a reservation---so that they can set up a table….
