My husband & I will be traveling from San Francisco to celebrate our 3rd anniversary in Paris - 1st time for both of us. We are both 30. We have been looking online for places in the Latin Quarter (5th arr.); looking for something in the $200-$300/night range. Any suggestions? I'd also appreciate some restaurant suggestions in Paris. Thanks!

Restaurant suggestions-- all good food, not fancy, can comecdressed as youbare etc.
Le caveau d'isle on Ile st Louis http://lecaveaudelisle.com/index.php?p=1&l=en
Fish La boissonnerie off rue st Germaine in 6th. http://www.placesinfrance.com/fish_la_boissonnerie_bistro.html
Marco Polo Italian restaurant 8 rue de conde off rue st Germaine.. Odeon metro stop is 2 min walk.(not Cafe Marco Polo).
Le Relais St Germain or Hotel Louis II-both in the 6th.
I would go bigger than Marco Polo for my anniversary (and I do love Marco Polo...both hotel above are right by it)
We love L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon...it is nice but not too much, great service but you sit around a bar and are served from the bar, so it is less formal/hovering, the kitchen is open and the food is out of this world
Le Cinq is a big time occasion place...fantastic service, attention to detail and beautiful food
my t/r from Dec 2010 has photo links that show these places and the food
Hi hoo,

How fancy do you want your hotel and resto suggestions?
