I'm a female journalist traveling solo to research a book in Paris and need a small, secure one-bedroom flat around Bastille or Marais. (First choice: Rue St. Sabin for sentimental reasons).
I need good light, wi-fi, a table for my laptop, a small kitchen, dining table, and, in a perfect world, a bathtub (although I could live with just a shower). If there is no elevator, please no higher than the second floor.
I arrive around 20:00 on Monday, Sept. 20 and will be out by 0900 Monday Sept. 27.
Looking for something in the 600-650 Euro range but would consider paying a bit more
for paradise.

Hi Chanaleah,
We stayed in a lovely flat in the Marais this past June.
Beautifully decorated, has all that you are looking for. We did climb a few flights of stairs, though, as it is an old building, but I think the flat is on the second floor.
Anyway, the website is below. I had previously rented an Atlanta, GA apartment from the owner and remembered he had a few Paris flats for rent also. Very nice guy! Not sure what will be available for you on such short notice.

Since it's late to be booking an apartment for September I would recommend you look at the Paris apartment thread: http://www.fodors.com/community/europe/paris-apartment-thread.cfm.
Contact some of the agencies that people have used and liked and ask them for availability on your dates.
I know www.parisbestlodge.com has some apartments in the Marais.
No bathtub, and not on Rue St. Sabin, but I think this hits most other requirements. Although this one is popular, so might already be booked, but the owner is wonderful to work with.
