Paris Bercy Train Station

I checked both the German and French rail schedule web sites and found no trains from Paris to Milan that leave from Bercy.
All of the ones I saw leave from Gare de Lyon, except for 2 trips of more than 13 hours that left from Gare Est or Austerlitz.
I think that Rail Europe is full of it up to here. And also their tickets are easily 25% more expensive than what you would pay in Europe.

The night trains are not very good schedule wise.
You can leave Paris at 10:29 and arrive in Milan at 8:45. This particular train goes to Milan Central. Two other night trains arrive slightly before 5 AM, but they arrive at other stations in Milan.
The day TGV trains leave at 7:54 and
10:54 The trip takes 7 hours.
But nothing shows as leaving from Paris Bercy.
The normal fare for this trip is 93.30 euros on the day TGV, second class. That is about $84. The weekend fare is a little cheaper.
What did Rail Europe want for the trip?
I am curious.

I suspect that's a mistake on the particular date page you selected on Raileurope, and it's really Gare de Lyon. All the overnight trains I saw on that webpage from Paris to Milan leave from Lyon. There's a metro station at Bercy, but I don't think even an RER station.

I checked other rail schedule sites and nothing to Florence (Firenze) is shown as leaving from Paris Bercy.
Everything leaves from Gare de Lyon, or those long drawn out rides from Auterlitz or Gare de l'Est.
I don't know where this Paris Bercy stuff comes from, but I doubt very, very much that it is correct. Given that Gare de Lyon is the main station for everything south and east of Paris, I see absolutely no reason to give it much credence. I checked the Swiss system, and the German system, both of which are very accurate, and no Paris Bercy shows up. The German system has been known to figure better routes in France than the Sncf system!! (I kid you not.) Right now the French SNCF system is screwed up and I cannot access it no matter what I do.

There is a Gare de Bercy, just for the record. And there is also a Metro station by that name.
But I have not seen any passenger trains leaving from there. I guess it is possible, but I would want more proof than Rail Europe telling me that was the case. I would want to see it printed on my ticket.

"gare" simply means station in French, so there is a "Gare Bercy" which is the metro station (gare can be a train, metro or bus station although the latter is usually called "gare routiere"). The metro station is the only gare I have ever seen called Gare Bercy, but you never know, maybe when they built that new metro station they added some regular rail tracks, also, I have not been there. Gare de Lyon is right next door and is a train station, in fact, Gare de Lyon has a "Bercy" exit. So, if it is a different gare than Lyon, it is right next door, anyway; I think sometimes Gare de Lyon may be called Gare de Lyon/Bercy, also; I think Paris has been pushing this Bercy stuff for PR reasons to try to build up that quarter. In any case, it's same place as Gare de Lyon for logistics. I still could never find mention of any train to Italy leaving from anywhere but Gare de Lyon on either
SNCF or Raileurope, myself. SNCF's website is not very good in many ways, as it should have some section with maps and addresses of its rail stations, and it doesn't appear to.

Gare Bercy is shown on the Michelin big map of Paris. It is about 1 K from Gare de Lyon to the south east. The station is shown as being about as far away from Gare de Lyon as is the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.
The indication on the map is that the rail station is just off of Rue de Bercy on Rue Carboneau. The Metro station called Bercy is close to Gare Bercy, but perhaps 200 yards away from it; they are not shown as being co-located.
The Paris - Bercy station is a little farther away from away from Gare de Lyon than is Gare d'Austerlitz.
That exhausts my knowledge on the subject.

My new Middleditch guide shows Gare de Bercy SW of Gare de Lyon, with tracks parallel to those coming from Lyon. I wonder if SNCF isn't moving some of the TGV lines there. After all, they are building a new train station in/outside of Avignon. Things may be changing...

Southwest of Gare de Lyon??
Would that not put either in the river or on the same side of the river as Austerlitz.
Did you not mean south east??
That is, if you drop a line from Gare de Lyon perpendicular to the margin of the map, is not Bercy to the right of that line?
I would say that makes it south east.
Bob, of course you are right. Just today I saw a suggestion that you should take a compass on your trips. Obviously I should attach one to my map. (Would that work?) Bercy is actually tucked in slightly below and to the right of Gare de Lyon.

It seems on the SNCF site that the night trains to Italy are the ones that leave from Paris-Bercy; the TGVs leave from Gare de Lyon. Are you still having trouble with the site?

I cannot get anything out of the SNCF site. I changed my permission codes around on the Microsoft Browser to accept just about anything. But that did not help. I got a little farther
into the thing, but not to the pay off.

The other rail schedule web sites, German, Swiss, and Austrian all show the same thing. The trains that leave after 9 PM are shown leaving from Gare de l'Est or Gare d'Austerlitz.
Nothing out of Bercy.
I wish I could get back into the sNCF site. I used it frequently in the past to help get to where they wanted to go, including myself. I bought tickets twice through the system in prior years.
It worked quite well last year.
I feel doubly frustrated by the whole thing.

bercy station exists, some passenger trains leave from there, not sure which, it is mainly used as an autocar station, you leave your car with sncf, car is transported overnight to your destination.you travel as passenger by train of your choice, collect your car next day at your destination.close to gar de lyon and metro, but not linked, but short walk to both.hope this helps.
