Paris Bee-Shuttle won't be used by me again

Bee-Shuttle was a bit cheaper, so I contracted with them for round-trip transfer CDG to the 6th. The shuttle was 25 minutes late picking me up at CDG.
I had a 12:50 flight back on Monday, 18 August. I asked, via e-mail, to be picked up at 8:30 because I was meeting a friend at the airport. They told me 9-9:30 was early enough. It was, but I asked for 8:30. At 9:35, I was still waiting, so the desk clerk at the hotel called. They were on their way. We then drove to another hotel where two women had a 10 a.m. appointment with Bee-Shuttle. They were a bit late. I got to the airport in time for my flight, but not to meet my friend. I could not get them on the telephone once, and they are slow to answer e-mail. If you can hang loose, perhaps this won't bother you.

Bee Shuttle, my foot! After my experience with those maniacs, I'd rather be transported to Paris by a swarm of infuriated hornets.

Hi B,

You did call your CC company to contest the charge?

Does Bee Shuttle require payment up front when you reserve?

I keep recommending Leader Shuttle as they are very reliable and I've had good service from them. They greet you at the airport with a sign the same way a private car service does. And they arrive on time for the return trip.

I just compared rates between Bee and Leader. Leader is 1 Euro more for 1 person and 1 Euro less (per person) for 2 people.

Sorry you had problems Boots but hopefully my recco will help with your next trip.

I learned years ago to never tell a shuttle company the real time of my flight.

Then, I just stopped taking shuttles all together. I don't like the ride-around-and-pick-someone-else-up-who-might-be-late thing. Makes me nervous.

I do understand that there are valid reasons for using a shuttle, but even if I did use a shuttle service, I would not tell them the real time of my flight.

I wouldn't tell them my real time, either -- although I wouldn't deal with a company that wouldn't pick me up when I wanted rather than them telling me when to pick me up.

You can't dispute that with your credit card, they provided the service and you took it.

This was my first shuttle experience. I usually take the Roissybus, then the 95 bus to my hotel. I had a problem with a wrist joint, and I didn't know if I could lift the suitcase on to either bus, so I took a shuttle for the first time.
I paid in cash, but I did have to give my credit card number when I reserved. No charge came through on that. I did have 24 hours in which to cancel the trip back, but any response to my e-mails was slow, and I didn't realize what a hassle the trip back would be.
Thanks for your comments.

I used yellow Van Shuttle a couple months ago. What a nightmare!
I'd read both good and bad reviews. Mine is worse than bad. Late...rude...surly...pulled off highway to fill up wtih gas, without telling us... trainee driver couldn't figure out how to use the GPS or "old-fashioned map, so it took forever to arrive at destination in le Marais (but at least we got a tour of neighborhoods where we would NOT want to stay).

Thank God this was not our first trip to Paris. As it was, it soured the start of the vacation (topped only by the ATM machines not working!) after a long and delayed set of flights.

In fairness to Yellow Van, ALL the CDG to Paris Center shuttles seem to get mixed reviews.

Ugh, Bee Shuttle... had a bad experience with them last summer. I think I posted here. Would not ever use them again. You're better off lugging 2 unwheeled hardcase luggage down the escalators to the train than calling to ask where your driver is. The guy I called kept hanging up on me, then proceeded to yell at me for not seeing the van that wasn't parked anywhere within eye shot.

I'll explore Leader Shuttle. You say they're dependable, adrienne?

mcnyc - Leader got 2 out of 2 correct so let's hope they continue to be reliable in the future.

My brother was pleased with their service and he has high standards.

Ira - how can you contest a charge if you actually took advantage of the service? And it got you to the plane on time?

If your plane is late and you miss a connecting flight would you still consel to contest the plane fare with a CC co

i see little difference here

Bee shuttle picked us up at CDG right on time probably because our plane was delayed by an hour. They were a solid hour late picking us up at our hotel to get us back to the airport and even though we made our plane, I would have preferred sitting in a cafe having one last coffee for that hour than waiting on edge in the lobby of our hotel. Never again.
