Paris Beauvais - Venice Treviso

Hello:

I would like to fly from Paris to Venice in September (one way).

Ryanair has a flight for 68 EURO (for 2), while Myair has a flight for 131 EURO (for 2).

The Myair flight has a more convenient time (9:40 rather than 10:10), and flies from Paris Orly to Venice VCE (more convenient location).

My questions are:

1) what is the best way to get from downtown paris (staying at Hotel Bonaparte) to Paris Beauvais) - I understand it is a bus ride away - but where would I catch this bus, how much would it cost and how long would it take?

2) How much does it cost and how long does it take to get from Treviso to Venice?

3) My preference right now is to go with Ryanair as Myair is a very new airline, and no one on this board seems to have flown Myair - so I have more faith in Ryanair - but if I am adding 3 hours to my trip, and the costs will weigh out the same - maybe I should reconsider Myair.

Thanks!
Pam

Hi Pam,

Bus info for Paris to Beauvais airport is at
http://www.aeroportbeauvais.com/bus.php?lang=eng

It costs 13E pp. You must be at the bus station 3hr before your flight is scheduled to depart.

For Treviso-Venice see
http://europeforvisitors.com/venice/..._to_venice.htm

It's about an hour into town and costs 5E.

We flew into Treviso, and I thought it was a reasonable arrival point for Venice. The bus was reasonable (I think about 5E each), and took around 45+ minutes to Pl Roma in Venice. You would need transport from VCE as well, so you wouldn't save much time/money at that end. I've seen grumblings about the Paris Beauvais end on this board, haven't done it myself. The overnight train is another alternative (I would rather do the ryanair myself), there are discussions you could search for here.
