Paris Attitude -- Apartment in Bastille area
Anyone has recently rent an apartment thur Paris Attitude??
I am about to finalize renting an apartment close to Place De La Bastille (Rue Daval/Rue Saint-Sabin) with this agency.
Just would like to see whether the agency is reliable and the area is safe for tourist

If it's right on the corner of Rue Daval and Rue St Sabin, that's on the edge of the entertainment/nightlife side around Rue de Lappe and Rue de la Roquette, so there's a potential for some late-night noise and traffic. I'd check whether the apartment (and particularly the bedrooms) faces into the courtyard rather than overlooking the street.
I wouldn't feel unsafe, but I rarely do.
That apart, it's the side of Paris that I prefer and it is well situated for public transport, the weekend markets on Blvd Richard Lenoir, the Marais and the Promenade Plantée, etc.

Of course the area is safe, it's very near the center of Paris. That is a noisy, hectic location I would not care for, but it's safe. If the apt is set up in a way you don't think it will be noisy, it would be fine, though, very convenient.
I haven't used them but have read several reviews from people on here who have (Paris Attitude) and had no problems. It isn't the kind of agency that does everything, though, your main contact is still the owner but they handle contracts and arrangements.

OK, with Patrick's info I can see that it is near the place where we stayed for ten days last summer - along the route we walked to the Metro, actually. It is indeed on the edge of the cafe zone but not the part where the noisier, spill into the streets crowds are likely to be found. The area is not the most attractive in architectural aesthetics but quite safe and very well located for getting around. The area is full of little shops and cafes catering to locals as well as tourists.
If you do wind up taking the place, be sure to walk up to the chocolatier "a la petite fabrique" located at 12 r. Saint-Sabin just where it makes a turn toward r. Sedaine. Just a bit further up - where r. Saint Sabin intersects r. Sedaine - you will find "Cafes de l'Industrie" scattered over three buildings art 15, 16 and 17 r St Sabin. Not haute cuisine by anyone's definition, but reasonable basic menu with friendly efficient service. If you stroll a few blocks up rue de la Roquette at #83 you will find "les artiste gourmands", a great little Franco-Italian restaurant/pizzeria run by a charming guy from Egypt.
