Anyone know this apartment? I know the area but am not sure if it is too noisy right on the street, rue St. Andres des Arts. I am looking for an apartment for April that would sleep 2 people in two separate sleeping areas.

It looks nice and I love that the entrance door is in the pedestrian passageway.

Have you tried this company (www.rentals-paris.com). we rent with them often and their owner is an American who lives in Paris managing his business. He has a number of apartments that have twin beds as well as queen size beds so this might suit you for this trip too. His name is Glen (or Glenn, I always forget how he spells it). Email him and ask him to make a suggestion for you. He's quick and his apartments are excellent. Brian.
St. André des Arts is a one-lane street, mostly pedestrian, with little car traffic at any time of the day. The only *noise* will come from the occasional delivery truck or trash pickup, but those are short-duration and NOT objectionable.
I want to BUY this apartment! Anyone have a million € to loan me at a good rate?
don't agree with the above, it is a pedestrian street and in a very popular tourist area and it has shops on it. So there is plenty of noise from people in the streets, and voices really echo in those narrow streets due to the cobblestones and stone buildings.
Thanks all. The owner sent me an email that the windows in front are double-paned and the aprtment is really very quiet. In looking at zillions of apartments and apartment rental sites, this one seemed to have the best location and best size for the price. Am booking it.
I went to a wonderful place in Pienza thanks to one person's (zoecat) recommendation here and on Trip Advisor and I am hoping to have the same luck this time (I think it was Flanagan recommendation for this apartment). I promise to post after the Paris trip!
I haven't stayed in that particular one, but have heard of it by those who have on two travel forums and they have liked it.
I have personally stayed in an apartment (and hotel) on rue St.Andres des Arts....www.vacationinparis.com #122, which I booked 9 months in advance because it's usually booked solid. There was no major city noise problem. You can click on my screen name and pull up my Paris apartment thread. Others have stayed at the same apartment and have commented about the street and area on my thread.
My bedroom was facing the street and I'm a light sleeper, but it was nothing major, just regular city type of sounds. The windows were double paned.
The street runs one-way and east and is about wide enough to get a shuttle down. So, it's not on any major noisy, traffic street. Happy Travels!

Thanks for the info. Was ready to pull the trigger on it but also found 2 others---one on Rue des Savoie which would be very quiet and other on Ile Saint Louis. Hope to finally get this done in the next couple of days!!
