Paragliding or Hang Gliding???

Hi there!

My hubby and I will be in Murren in a few months and im looking to surprise him with either hang gliding or paragliding experience for both of us! We would do paragliding out of Murren and if we went with hang gliding we would travel to Interlaken..

Based on the reviews and things i have read and seen pictures of , both looks pretty incredible!

I am having a really hard time figuring out WHICH of the 2 to do??? Anyone have done both? Please give me some feedback, etc

    I didn't hang glide, but I did paraglide (as a tandem) from Grütschalp, which is (I believe) where most paragliders from the Murren side of Lauterbrunnen depart. Loved it! (Well, except for the take-off -- running down a hill that was steeper than I could stand on with any stability was a bit disconcerting. ;-) ) FWIW, I believe that because of the light conditions, most paragliders in the Lauterbrunnen Valley depart from the Grutschalp / Murren side in the morning, and from the Wengen side in the afternoon -- at least that was how they did it when I was there (June, 2013).

    If it helps with your decision, I think part of the question is what you would see from your flight: In the Lauterbrunnen Valley, you are likely to see some stunning snow-capped Alps, some lower peaks, the incredible walls of the Lauterbrunnen cliffs, perhaps some amazing waterfalls (their volume varies with season, as I understand it), and the farms and field of the valley. From Interlaken, your views of high peaks would, I think, be much more distant; instead, your views would be primarily of Lake Thun and/or Lake Brienz. But I could be mistaken....
