Pantheon apartment : too good to be true?
Right behind the Pantheon on Via dei Pastini, 1BR + sofabed, 1 flight of stairs. Pedestrian street. (It notes the window in the bedroom, so I wonder if there is no window in the living room.) 104 euro/night for two. We'll be there in Feb. so probably won't use the terrace much.
This will be our 1st time in Rome, so I'm more inclined to stay at a hotel. But I would appreciate opinions from all the Pantheon-lovers.

Hi JeanneB
I also found this apartment on the Sleep in Italy website, and am considering it for my November trip to Rome. It sounds great, and the price is certainly right.
I found a very helpful and detailed review of the apartment here. You'll have to forgive me, but I'm new to posting here, so I'm not sure how to attach the review to this post, but if you type BLN in the search box, you'll find an old post titled "Apartment Rental in Rome?" Click on that one, scroll down a bit, and you'll find her review.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, marcy. How did you find it? I searched on "pastini" and only got a restaurant thread from 1999. I've now marked that thread with the word for future searches.
BLN's post was certainly thorough and helpful. I'm still leaning toward a hotel, but have this on my list just in case.

I agree with you...my instincts also are to stay in a hotel when visiting an area for the first time. The hotel can be so helpful with directions, getting taxi's, recommendations, etc. On the other side of the coin, is the cost. That apartment is a quite a good price.

In April 2 of my adult children and I made our first trip to Italy, and we rented an apartment in Trastevere through Sleep in Italy. It was wonderful to have the apartment. Someone met us there when we arrived, gave us all the information needed regarding the apartment. We stayed in some very nice hotels while on our trip, but the apartment in Rome was our favorite. It was so nice to be able to fix our own espresso first thing in the morning.

Gracie04: If you use this apt in November please come here and post your impressions as soon as you get back. We're not going until Feb., so would benefit from your personal input. The one thing I can't figure out is whether the bath is en-suite or opens off the living room. One of us (me) wakes up early and doesn't want to disturb the other. Thx!
