Pamplona - San Fermin 2001 - Tips?

I'm heading to Pamplona for the San Fermin fiesta (and accompanying bull run) next month. Does anyone have tips/experience to share?

Also, I'm considering a day on the coast, either in San Sebastian or Biarritz. A good idea? Any suggestions?
